This 8 week workshop includes 8 Wednesday 2 hour classes at the Center for Creative Change in Blacksburg and a full day retreat on Saturday, November 12th at the Blue Ridge Center for Chinese Medicine.
 
The course is designed to transform your relationship with stress, improve your health, and increase enjoyment of life. “Mindfulness provides a simple but powerful route for getting ourselves unstuck, back into touch with our own wisdom and vitality.” Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D.
 
A variety of practices are taught including body scan, sitting and walking meditation, gentle yoga and qi gong, and mindfulness. Bridget Simmerman is a psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience. She has been practicing mindfulness meditation and hatha yoga for over 21 years, and has been teaching for the past 20 years.
 
Total cost of the program is $395 for the 8 weekly, two hour sessions and daylong retreat. Fee includes a breif evaluation interview, CDs, and handouts to support your practice.
